About Daniel
Daniel Yong is a Project Lead and Senior Sign Language Interpreter at the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf). He leads national accessibility initiatives including Singapore's Video Relay Service (VRS) and the integration of Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) into AI-driven digital platforms.
Daniel's interpreting work spans healthcare, education, legal, and cultural settings — from the National Day Parade and Coldplay World Tour to theatre performances at the Esplanade. A former Apple Specialist and Accessibility Champion, Daniel brings a tech-savvy, user-centred approach to his advocacy work.
He volunteers as a DeafBlind Intervenor and is currently pursuing a BSc in Digital Media at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Daniel speaks English, Mandarin, and is professionally proficient in SgSL, SEE2, ASL, and International Sign.
